Why You Can’t Trust Most Skincare Companies

Skincare and makeup companies have been caught hiding ingredients in their products, which are toxic and this is a scary thought since what you put on your skin gets absorbed into your body and can affect hormones.

The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics hired an independent lab to test 50 popular beauty brands. The lab found that nearly all of them (48 out of 50) contained lead, chromium, beryllium, or nickel. Some of the worst offenders were CoverGirl, L'Oréal, Revlon, and Clinique. These toxic metals can cause skin irritation, rashes, and other health problems.

What's even more alarming is that these companies have known about the dangers of these chemicals for years but haven't done anything to remove them from their products. In some cases, they've even increased the levels of toxins! It's no wonder so many people are concerned about the safety of skincare products.

L'Oreal, despite claiming to be transparent, have been caught hiding dangerous chemicals in their products. One such chemical is phthalates, which have been linked to cancer and reproductive problems.

Johnson & Johnson has a history of recalls due to toxins in their products. One such toxin is formaldehyde, which has been linked to cancer.

These are just two examples of companies that can't be trusted when it comes to skincare products. Be sure to do your research before buying and check out our green skincare assortment HERE.
